We made India's first Video Health BOT to be a doctor when no doctor is available.
COVID upended everyone's world. But, it made things a lot worse for the already worse off. People could not get out of their homes; they could not even see a doctor for everyday inconveniences like cough, cold, flu, stomach upsets, or headaches. Confusing information about COVID itself compounded frustration and fear alike, especially in the lower segments of society.
We conceived of a mobile phone based video chatbot that will talk in Indian vernacular and will answer questions on health and wellness, and COVID information as well.
We tied up with JIO, the biggest mobile network in India for technology support and hosting of the BOT, and got Lifebuoy to sponsor the project. Our extensive research into the questions that troubled people resulted into exhaustive AI based content that helped millions in rural India tie over the difficult times of COVID with calm nerves and assurance of Lifebuoy.
